"As a local Google Guide, I’ve tried many Chinese restaurants, and No.8 Noodle truly stands out. It’s not just the noodles that are excellent—many of their other dishes are just as impressive. From flavourful stir-fries to well-seasoned signature plates, everything is consistently well cooked and full of authentic taste. Portions are generous, ingredients are fresh, and the flavours are well balanced. Service is friendly and efficient, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that makes it a great spot for both quick meals and casual dining. If you’re looking for quality Chinese food beyond just noodles, No.8 Noodle is definitely worth a visit in Queenstown Highly recommended"

"Bring your appetite — portions here are massive! The flavors really hit that comforting, home-style note, with an authenticity that’s hard to find. I especially loved how rich and balanced the seasoning was — nothing felt bland or watered down. Only thing I’d tweak is maybe a touch less oil in some dishes, but that’s just personal taste. Overall, if you’re craving hearty, genuine Chinese food, No. 8 Noodle Shop is a winner."

"Absolutely delicious food. Hands down best Chinese I've ever tasted. Very authentic (according to my friend who travels yearly to China for work), but equally something for everyone. I try and eat here every time I come to Queenstown, which is regularly. If you like spicy, I highly recommend the Sichuan Green Beans, otherwise one of my favourites is the Deep Fried Eggplant, DIVINE!!! But seriously though, I'm eating my way through the menu and so far its all been great."

"In such a cold weather during the spring session, we wanted to have warm & hot soup foods. We have ordered their signature braised beef noodle, BBQ pork noodle soup and chicken fried noodle for 4 of us to share. Noodle is on the spot hand made, it texture is very much QQ, the serving is reasonable for 2 persons (small to mid eaters). The fried noodle doesn't find very much special but their soup paste is thick and tasty. May good to have a try."

"Service We were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in, which gave a great first impression. Beef Bone Meat Noodle Soup The seasoning was just right, and the hand-pulled noodles had a nice, chewy texture. Singature Fried Rice The ingredients felt a bit minimal and it was slightly greasy, but it paired well with the other dishes and was still enjoyable overall. Eggplant Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a very thin batter—perfectly done. Overall A well-balanced meal with a few minor drawbacks. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth stopping by at least once."

"This place serves authentic and hearty Chinese food. I ordered the signature beef noodle soup, which came topped with tender, melt-in-your-mouth pieces of beef. The noodles were fresh, handmade, and cooked to perfection, while the broth was clean-tasting with just the right balance of saltiness and depth of flavour. I also tried the duck rice, which unfortunately wasn’t as impressive—the duck was quite bony with not much meat, and I found the soy sauce too salty for my taste. Overall, a solid spot for comforting Chinese noodles, and I’d definitely come back for the beef noodle soup."
